Jess Jarrard is a licensed social worker and yoga teacher residing in the Metro Detroit area. Jess is a yoga teacher instructed in the principles and practice of ashtanga/vinyasa. She has training in pre/postnatal yoga and education in trauma sensitive yoga techniques.
Over the past several years her desire to work on a more clinical level with women has grown and she feels passionate about aiding women who struggle with loss of identity, feelings of loneliness and alienation, and a general lack of self worth. Jess bases clinical work off of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy techniques and has certificates in Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International. Her mantra for counseling and yoga sessions is simply, ‘come as you are’ and she strives to help women feel truly seen, heard, and abundantly cared for. Jess believes that each woman has a unique light inside and as we let our lights shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. [Maryanne Williamson]
